Pigma Microns, And A New Drawing

So, I finally decided to purchase some new drawing utensils! And thanks to my absolutely wonderful Fiancee who gave me a gift card to out local art store (The Ink Well), I was motivated to purchase my new Pigma Micron Pens. I bought 5 of them. Two are size 005, and then one of sizes 01, 03, and 05. I also purchased  some tracing paper, which allows me to simply re-draw my artwork if I ever seem to be inspired when the camera isn't rolling.

Also, my "camera" is actually my phone right now, and sometimes it decides to just do whatever it likes. Thus, the next item on my shopping list is a decent camera, as well as a hinged arm to hold it and direct it to wherever I need it. My current "camera" has given me a lot of trouble as of late, so I'm hoping to have a new one by the end of next month. Crossing my fingers.

I did, however, manage to create a new abstract drawing. Sadly, I had to draw it twice, due to technical difficulties with my "camera", which corrupted the original video file. BUT, I drew it again, thanks to my new tracing paper. For whatever reason, it won't allow me to embed the video into this post, but you can still go see it on YouTube. Or if you're the type that just likes to see the completed artwork without all that long hard work in between, here's a photo of it.

Abstract Drawing #3

Now, don't forget to visit my website (DezigningArt.com) if you haven't already. There's a bunch of interesting drawings I've made in the past. Thanks for reading! And have a splendid day ;D

Bumblebee Drawing

Finally completed my latest drawing of the 2009 Chevy Camaro. It's not only posted onto my website at DezigningArt.com, but the time lapse video of me creating it is also posted up on YouTube. I have it posted here if you'd like to watch it.

I used several different types of pencils to create this, including 2h, hb, 2b, and 4b, an eraser pen, and a kneaded eraser. I've already started on my next drawing, but it may take some time since I'm moving into a new home in a couple days. But It'll get posted eventually ;)

Making progress

I BOUGHT A PLANNER!!

Ok, so maybe I shouldn't be quite as excited as I am, but who cares. I used to write down a list of things to do throughout each day, and my productivity during that period what phenomenal. Since I seem to be lacking in any form of productivity lately, I decided to purchase a planner and start up my good old habit of keeping a schedule.
I like highlighters, what can I say.

So far, so good. But it's only been one day. The planner was absurdly expensive in my opinion, but it's a price I'm willing to pay for progress. I'm hoping that the money spent on it motivates me to continue following through everything I lay out for my day (getting up at a reasonable time instead of 10 a.m. every morning).

My only critique regarding the planner is the fact that I could only find one that goes as late at 9 pm. I mean common, who's night EVER ends at 9 p.m.? But that's alright, I usually work until 10 or 11 anyways.

I'm sure you're all wondering why this post is completely unrelated to my artwork in any way, shape, or form. BUT, it IS related. based on my increased productivity today, I'm hoping to release drawings more often, and hopefully soon. I continued working on a rather old drawing I haven't finished yet. And if you click that link, you'll see just how old it really is. But honestly, it's almost done.

Thanks for reading! And if you're interested in getting a planner, I highly recommend the At-A-Glance Academic planner. Seriously, it's awesome. I purchased mine from Staples, but it's quite a bit more expensive in stores.

Expecting Delays

Many of you may be wondering why It's been so long since I've posted any new drawings. Sadly, I've been overwhelmingly busy as of late, and haven't had much time to work on anything. I haven't even been home for the past several days, so bear with me.

In the very little spare time I have, I've been using it to rest. Work has been exhausting, and It's had me running around crazy about eight hours a day.

But have no fear! The end is not near. I just need some time to get everything all settled down again so I can start up my good drawing habits again. Until then, Super stickman should be sufficient to keep you safe. ;)

Although there's nothing really new lately, if you haven't seen it already, check out DezigningArt.com to see all of my current (and much older) artwork.
