I've recently purchased a new home (My first one actually), and in order to get it to look exactly how me and my lovely fiancee would like it to look, there's much that needs to be done. To give you an idea, here's a list of what we've done, and what still needs to be done.
Done
- Sealed at least 200 holes in the walls (we could build a new house with all the screws and nails we found)
- Removed all the kitchen counter-tops and cabinets at ground-level
- Got rid of the stove
- Took out the kitchen sub-flooring since it was insanely warped, replaced it with new sub-flooring
- Primed all of the walls
- Painted all but one of the rooms
- Removed several ceiling lights (because they were hideous), replaced them with newer and nicer lights
- Valiantly fought against a bees nest, and succeeded.
- Replaced the thermostat, since the old one was less useful than a 2-ounce rock.
Needs Done
- Tear up all the old flooring and replace with newer and better flooring (entire home)
- Replace the Windows
- Install new kitchen counter, sink, cabinets, and stove
- Replace Sink in Master Bathroom
- Remove rubber mulch from outer patio/playground/whatever-the-heck-it-is to expand yard
- Fix certain areas of the ceiling where it seems to be brittle
- Any other surprises that we may encounter
So there you have it! I would, however, still be attempting to create new artwork even with all that is going on, but I don't have any proper desk as of now. But soon enough I'll be posting new artwork again. Just stick with me! :)
As always, if you haven't visited it already, my website is DezigningArt.com. Check it out to see all of my current (and not so current) work on the gallery tab.
